and Pathways

Find the environment that fits now. Twelve programs across four age groups — not a ranking, a set of rooms. Players move between them as motivation, schedule and goals evolve.

01 The map

One pathway. Two routes.

Every player starts on the ball progression. From Orange Ball on, a performance route runs in parallel — same stages, more court time and a competitive calendar. Placement is guided by age, readiness, goals and commitment.

Not a final placement. Tennis Club of Hastings combines technical, tactical, physical, mental, match and commitment evidence before a coach confirms the recommendation.

03 Programs

Every environment, in detail

Filter by age group, then open a card for the fall schedule, entry criteria and what earns a player their next step. The age groups overlap on purpose — a strong ten-year-old and a beginning twelve-year-old can both be in the right room.

What each ball stage builds

The four foundation stages, assessed the same way — technical, tactical, physical and mental — with the court each ball is played on. A player moves up when every column says ready.
